I attended the funeral of my friend this morning. He had a lot of friends there as I knew he would. He was the kind of guy that everyone liked, always had a big smile on his face and a good word to say.
He was an excellent pilot and instructor, about half the people there raised their hand when asked how many had had him for a flight instructor. Several told stories both funny and serious.
I did not speak up but I remember one time when he was in the pattern at BOI going downwind and decided to do a roll, the tower asked him if he had it out of his system now. That was many years ago and I doubt if he could have got away with it now what with the increase in traffic at BOI.
Anyway the one thing I really wanted to hear was how he had known Jesus, I did not get my wish. Could I have helped that to happen? I don’t know, I do know he knew of some of my work in ministry in years past. I know that I will be more diligent from now on to be a witness of my Lord.
The Word of God says Today is The Day of Salvation!
If you died tonight like my friend did do you know where you would spend eternity? Have you made your reservation in Heaven? If not won’t you please do so, find a Christian friend or a pastor to talk to or just call on the name of Jesus. The bible says’ Whoever calls on the name of Jesus will be saved.’
