He goes, “Yeah, they all say that.”

So, that really got me to thinking, how are we different?

“Ha, we also do molded candles. And we create or try to, look a likes.”  was my response.

That is when we decided to introduce you to Princeton.  He is my daughter’s eighteen years, Spanish Kiger horse. Now we’re not trying to sell him. We just want to show you what we can do. He is molded and hand painted by Mike, his owner and my daughter.

We all know to burn candles away from drafts, fans, or vents. How about putting them too close to curtains, places where they can be knocked off, places where children or animals can get to them.

Also, consider the surface you place them. I usually place on metal of some sort. Don’t forget to check the jar the candle is in. Is the container a cheap, thin glass?

But, more important than anything, are you the sort of person who forgets to put the candle out when going to bed or leaving?  If that is the case, maybe you should purchase a melter and use melts for your fragrance. But then again, what do you do if the lights go out and no candle around.

So, just like guns, candles can be equally dangerous. But only due to the handler.

It won’t be long and we will be going into Valentines season. Like Christmas, this is a good time to think about candles for gifts. Even for a guy, we have a great selection of dogs. One idea is to get a picture of your guys best friend, his dog, send it to us and we can mold his breed and paint the dog like the picture. He’ll know you put some thought in that. Add it to his hunting gear, or any activity he shares with his buddy. A candle of his buddy for his man cave, how cute is that?

I also have one mold for a horse or pony. I’ve been quite picky about my horse molds. That being said, I am still searching for just the right ones. But, we do offer this one horse.

People were buying for future weddings, birthdays, and even some they could put away for Christmas. One told me they bought for surprise days they didn’t plan for.

Some return customers came, really stroking my ego. They tell me, bar none, our melts and candles are the best they’ve ever used. Well, that makes me feel great. But, I know it is all because we double, triple scent, and we have a huge selection of fragrances.

We sell a lot of speciality items at the store as well, making gift giving more fun. However, we did not have these items on sale. Most everything we make are on the website, however we are working on some new items.

At any rate, I’ll probably wait until it is cooler to do another sidewalk sale. It is too hot for the candles now.

Hi Bob and Eddy, 

Just wanted to tell everyone out there how wonderful your candles are.  The fragrances are just as good, if not better, than Yankee.   I use a lot of candles, mostly tea lites, and I found Oregon Street Candles to be of superb quality.  I just placed my third order in less than a year.  I used to be a staunch Yankee Candle ’burner’….Not any more. Oregon Street is my candle of choice now.  Try them folks, you won’t  be disappointed……….
